Welcome to the throwmeabook blog!

Who am I?My name is Sandra. I am a former laboratory analyst and cupcake shop owner, from Montreal, Canada. I am happily married to my generous and supportive husband of 17 years and a stay-at-home mom to three beautiful children.  My family is my greatest passion and there is nothing I wouldn’t do for them!

As long as I can remember I have always loved to read. I am a voracious reader and books are my passion. I enjoy a wide range of genres and styles, but my favourites would have to be (but are not limited to) mysteries/thrillers, woman’s literature, and young adult. I never leave home without a book, either the paper version or an e-book that I can access on my iPad or phone.

What am I doing when I’m not reading? I spend as much time as I can with my family, I enjoy watching TV and movies, cooking and baking, and have recently taken up running. Come hockey season you will also find me watching hockey and cheering on my Montreal Canadiens.  Go Habs Go!

Why this blog? I like to talk about books and if I love a book I want to recommend it to everyone. Unfortunately, lately I’ve noticed that my immediate circle of friends does not read (the horror!) and so this blog serves as an outlet for my book love. I see it as a gathering place for book lovers to discuss, recommend and discover new books and authors.

Why ‘throwmeabook’? I read a lot, basically anything and everything I can get my hands on. You can literally throw me a book and I will sit down and read it with great pleasure.

So thank you for visiting and I hope that you will check back again soon! And please share this blog with your friends and loved ones.
